  • Preliminary examination (optional): Review whether the applicant complies with
    formal requirements (face-to-face meeting)
  • SELF AUDIT and RISK analysis based on AEO criteria
  • Establish system integrating management system and AEO system
  • Education and training on customs compliance and security management required
    from the AEO criteria
  • Assess capability of analysis and application of laws and regulations related
    to import and export applied to management and business
  • Verify the qualification for formal requirements in advance(basic requirements
    for the application)
  • Complete AEO report to be submitted to KCS
  • Preliminary examination

AEO Authorization Decision
Deliberation Committee
  • Analysis and strategic response on Deliberation Committee
  • Secure advantageous score for AEO authorization by finding the best practice
  • Submission and execution of the implementation plan for “First authorization
    and later supplementation” in case any reasons for qualification reservation occur
  • Approximately within 1-2
    months from the approval
    date when on-site audit
    closes

AEO Post Management Consulting

Self-Assessment Since the company has been designated as AEO company with AEO authorization, the company will go through an annual
self-assessment. This self-assessment is done through submitted documents and it aims to check if the AEO company’s
export and import management status is operated and managed properly in accordance with the AEO criteria.
Comprehensive Audit This audit is conducted against AEO companies to ascertain fulfillment of the AEO authorization criteria. And especially as
for importing/exporting companies, the areas include the legality of customs clearance.
